I am from the caribbean (cuba to be exact) and bright colors are always in. I only wear red lipstick when my hair is jet black. I wore a cheapo .99 cent red from the beauty supply place and glossed it over and it looked soooo good. But its only for dressy occassions.

im interested in red lip stick too. You can do it! since your skin is such a dark coco skin with a blue undertone, try a red with a blue undertone in it. stay away from orange reds. good luck!

My mom is your complexion and she wears red lipstick. It typically has a blue undertone and is on the darker side of red (almost burgundy or wine color).
MAC has some wonderful colors and associates who can assist you in choosing just the right shades to complement your features. One color I can think of is MEDIA by MAC, Oceanberry by MAC just to name a few. I wear Oceanberry when I am feeling "red" and I like it.

I actually made this video after I had been to the Mac counter. I guess because it was Christmas time, I felt a little rushed. I did buy Media, but when I got it home and tried it again, I wasn't really feeling it. I did however find the perfect matte shade of red, Cover Girl's Outlast Lipstain # 425. I've been wearing it everyday, I'll make a video review of it soon. Thanks!

I do nothing but red LOL expensive brands never look right on me I use black radiance!! I dont remember the name but the number on the bottom is 5042!! :-)
