i have never played anything with warhammer, so what is really the plott? is there a good or a storry or is it just plane war?

I'd advise you to look up the intro to "warhammer 40k fire warrior" to get a look at the look and feel of the game(s) and to read the inside first page of one of the novels for the tone.

The overarching story of the 40k universe is that this is basically the "final dark age" of mankind. The novels talk about an endless war (which mankind is losing) against innumerable alien enemies. "In the grim dark future there is only war."

It sort of just snowballed... It goes something like every human colony that ever trusted aliens ever either became slaves or were annihilated by treachery. Plus, our souls taste good to the monsters that live in the Warp (sorta like "hyperspace" but where psychic energy (emotions) are food for the demons that live there) and humanity has become utterly militaristic and kill-on-sight xenophobic which didn't make many friends either.

As Griza said, the main idea is to bring out the determination of mankind to the surface in the bloodiest and most rigid dictatorship regime possible. An entire galaxy slowly being conquered back by Daemons and Aliens of all shapes and sizes. Despite all of this, mankind stands fast against it, strong in their faith in the rotten corpse of the most powerful psychic human being the galaxy has ever known.
