  • i thought the shortest sentance was "Go."

  • Actually, an English sentence has to have a subject and a predicate (or a noun and a verb) (frankly, I think that whoever came up with this is an idiot, but so are a lot of people I know), anyway, so a sentence can't just be one word. It still works but it's not considered a full sentence.

  • Actually, I was wrong. The shortest is "Go." The reason is despite the fact that a sentence has to have a both a noun and a verb, if there is not noun and it is clear that you are spoken to, then "you" is the noun, despite it's not written. Then, "go" is the verb. I hope that makes sense to you.
