Have done this with my 2 IBM T43's. It was a fun and scary experience at first. All screws should be properly segregated and accounted for so it would be easy to return them to their original places.

has anyone attempted this successfully? t40 owners NEED a disassembly video. this is the closest i can find. im out to replace my motherboard. i had a water accident, it died.....i got another t40, thankfully my hard drive was ok and im on it now. if i can replace my motherboard in my dead one ill have a second laptop......but i can NOT find a full disassbly video in ENGLISH!! can anyone do a vid?

Tou cá com um problema num t41..., ao inicio tudo indicava ser i inverter, comprei, mas entretanto o portatil andava aos trambolhões no carro, depois que tentei ligar o monitor já não dava aquela réstia de luz, depois de andar aqui por casa partiu se o flex cable, em resumi inverter e flex montados e nada de imagem, o mais certo é ir para a black lithg, sendo que ele tem outros sintomas, como ligar e desligar nos primeiros segundos.
