  • my socks are black. nothing seems to show up on them. would it be smart to do the stiching while wearing them?

  • @mrbigtoe71 Eeee if you are very careful and don't catch yourself with a needle!

  • that's good but the real ones separate your middle, ring, and pinky toe from your pointer and big toe. ^^

    btw nice job anyways!

  • @yumenohime I thought that too! But when I googeled 'tabi' only my version came up x

  • What's the songs name???

  • @MsBabbi Witch hunter robin

  • @Superduperanimatorz you might need two :3 x

  • @Mangafairy Do not worry, the way you have your tabi set with only the big toe separated from the other four toes is traditionally correct, never have tabi been made to divide the toes 2 on one side and 3 on the other. When balancing the big toe (the strongest toe) takes most of the weight when walking in geta or zori, it wouldn't be beneficial to have tabi crafted any other way. ^__^

  • I'm going to give this a shot myself. I just needed to know that it isn't impossible. I thought about making some a while ago...but I didn't want them to look too crappy. I didn't think about turning them inside out. Thanks.

  • i love it! now i dont have to search for something tht fits my size 11 foot! everything ive found only goes up to size 9 which is *way* too small. yes....i have done the research and yours are historically correct according to japonista-sole (dot) com (forward slash) tabi-history (forward slash) info_9 (dot) html. great job on explaining how to do this. i think anyone who can pull off a decent stitch can make these.

  • awesome! Quick and easy--just what I was looking for. And here I was going to even use the sewing machine fff (I have the same thread~)

  • made em, like a boss

  • @yumenohime Not true. Tabi were never designed that way.

  • @emilio02000 there is no right or wrong...I c what u mean...but the one in the video is the Modern version of the Tabi sock...

  • @Mangafairy urs is the modern style. The traditional japanese tabi is what I meant by Real ones lol
