  • Hey, I got one of those synthetic brushes (Men-U Premier), you mentioned that these brushes do take a slightly different lathering technique, how?

  • @schnor88 its kind of like the motions you would make painting a wall.

  • @mantic59 So do the bristles have any effect on the ingrown hair follicles (raising them up to make them easier to cut)?

  • @chuobio you know i'm not sure what the effect would be on ingrown hairs. probably not much difference one way or the other.

  • Mantic, or anyone who knows:

When using shaving soap, do you suggest just lathering on top on the whole puck inside of a bowl, or to break off a small chunk of the soap and use that?

    Thanks.

  • @StopIllegalAliens01 load the brush off the puck then build the lather either directly to the face or in another bowl. You can lather on top of the puck itself but it would be very wasteful.

  • do they have to kill the badgers for the hair or do they just shave it off them with trimmers or whatever to harvest the hair for the brushes? They are so cute i hope they arent treated inhumanly

  • 4 tips. Horse hair.

  • the black one came from badger ass hair. JFYI

  • @dave997 They pluck them out one by one with tweezers =P

  • @dave997 they kill them because they are plague animals in China.

so whether you buy the brush or not, they will be shot,

    which is usually relatively painless.

alternatives are synthetic brushes (Mühle now has a very good one), or horse hair.

horses do not get killed but groomed, plus it is in between a badger and boar hair:

it has the backbone of boar but the softness of badger.

    i have a beautiful olive wood horse-hair brush, a Vie-Long.

Vie-Long makes the very best horse hair brushes.

  • Thanks for the info Jon Lovitz lol!

  • who makes the lightbulb one

  • @PureBrutalSickness lol from a can I suppose? let me guess, you use the latest 6 bladed cartridges a $2 a piece because you believe everything Procter & Gamble tell you.

  • @MiroslavPiekos This video was made in 06. most likely before the introduction of silvertip.

  • like the way he talks in to the brushes like if they were microphones =) Great vids!

  • It took me three tries to get through the beginning of this video without cracking up laughing.
