  • hey, fist you remind me of John Malkovich ...its a compliment because his way are pretty cool and he articulate's well.

alright, I'm on my second week of induction and lost 6 pounds... I only have 15 left to loose so my question is: should I stay on induction until I reach my goal and then goto phase 4? I'd rather loose my weight rather quickly. I train with weight lifting and cardio so I probably loose more fat than the scale shows (since muscle weigh more than fat)

  • That's funny! Never heard Malkovich before, but I have gotten John C. Reilly. :D

If you like Induction and want to stay there until you reach goal, I see no problem with it. However, when you hit your goal weight, be careful not to add back carbs too quickly or all the weight you lost will come pouring back on again.

  • what about sugar free jello for snacks?

  • Sure, if you like that kind of thing. Personally, I'd prefer something with a lot more fat and richness like sugar-free, low-carb chocolates.

  • I found a low-carb yogurt at Kroger. 3 net carbs. Have you heard of this brand?

  • I don't really eat yogurt, but that Kroger brand sounds pretty good if it only has 3g net carbs.

  • What about a table spoon of low carb ketchup during induction? Also, did it ruin my whole day since I was drinking diet green tea with asparLame? How much exercise do you get each week?

  • His advice is quite accurate, fat is essential if a low carb diet is to be effective. Eating low fat and low carb is not very effective( eg. Paleo) for losing weight because you wind up getting sugar and carb cravings. I personally find that eating this way is a lot more effective in weight control and also appetite control than any other diet.

  • @livinlowcarbman so you are saying meat for breakfast, meat for lunch and meat for dinner? i dont get it, did i miss something??!

  • LC ketchup is okay, but it's better if you skip it. And no, you didn't mess up drinking the diet green tea with aspartame. As for exercise, I was doing daily cardio during my weight loss. But now I lift weights twice a day and get in fun cardio activities like volleyball, basketball, etc. each week. :D

  • CONGRATS on your success! KEEP IT UP!!! Don't worry about not being able to exercise right now. It depends on what your starting height and weight is, but if you start low-carb then your body will begin burning fat. GO FOR IT!!!
