  • Do u know if is possible to buy a dvd with this opera ? specifically this one in Rome ?

  • @fraja777 Maybe you will find something in amazon.com

  • uhh this is probably one of my favorite arias ever, but I have not seen Tosca.....can someone explain to me why he sang that twice?? Was that rehearsed or was the crowd asking for it again?? believe you me, I DON'T MIND ONE BIT, BEING ABLE TO HEAR EL MAESTRO TWICE IN A ROW:)!!!!!

  • It's an encore - that means, that the crowd applauded and asked him to do the aria again. You should definitely watch this opera, it's usually a sopranos' opera, but Pav stole the performance.. ha-ha!

  • You say that because you probably don't know the italian culture ! That's the way it goes, if people enjoy things they express it and it's the beauty of those moments !!! Each concert becomes unique ! We are not in an american professional musical where you'll be able to see the exactly same show four times a day ( emotion against perfection ) ... Grande Luciano, Grande Italia ...

  • One of the great tenors in the whole world - Maestro LUCIANO PAVAROTTI ! RIP MAESTRO . This is one of the best renditions of E lucevan le stelle from Tosca by Puccini. • @raphael44ify As Bono oft said "Others sing opera, Pavarotti WAS opera!" That is why he "owned" most of the roles he performed--he WAS the character. He didn't just sing or act the role, each character WAS a part of either his own personality or a part of his life. Therefore, he wasn't just "acting out" a part but reliving the part of himself the character represented.-----gee I miss him so!

  • He must have sung this hundreds of times in his career, but each time he put his whole heart and soul into it - he was not Pavarotti, he was Cavaradossi facing death. It never ceases to amaze me how he felt the agony and beauty of the music each and every single time. This is why he is loved and adored all over the world, far more than any other tenor, as great as they may be.

  • Hehe--judging by his body language and facial expression, one can almost hear him thinking, "Please stop clapping--please don't make me do this again---no, I don't want--no, I don't do--I've bowed my head in acceptance twice already---OH OK--because I love you so much--I do again!"--WHEW---Im exhausted--give me my love!"--lol

  • This is one of the best of Pavarotti's E Lucevan"s videos on YouTube-thanks for posting! Just wish the text were not there to intrude

  • Eternar love for you. Thanks for posting this beauty!!!
