This one and Aliens (1986) is far above the two following ones 1992, 1997. The 1992 movie Alien 3 is a fucking joke and the 1997 movie is a joke.

I aggre ,you will certainly aggre that the sequel (aliens ) with the colonial marines have inspired so much video game and movies,just think of Halo,Starship Troopers etc..
i find this so sad that there is no morre sci-fi/horror masterpiece movie like the Thing and Alien anymore(sorry for my english)

Actually, "Starship Troopers" is an adaptation of Robert A. Heinlein's novel which was first published in 1959, years before "Aliens"
was filmed.

In fact, the actors in the cast of "Aliens" had to read "Starship Troopers" before the filming began. This served as an introduction to the roles they were about to play.
