This fire has consumed a number of structures and is causing evacuations of the area. Fire is up against Highway 395 and the flames are blazing hot as your drive by. It appears that this section of 395 is going to be closed, as just after this video we passed no less than 20 emergency vehicles (NHP, NDot, Paramedics, Fire, etc) heading toward the fire, spread across all lanes.
This video was taken by my wife as we were heading northbound, just after 1:00 PM. I was calling co-workers in Carson City to warn of traveling Northbound.

@lacroixel In Reno,NV along highway 395 between the lake, the 395 gas station / chocolate factory, and Galena High School. The fire is still burning as I reply.

The link has an article and more information, including a map of the area.
In Washoe Valley Nevada, between Reno (to the North) and Carson City (to the south). The fire is only just starting, but the winds are extreme in this area. Smoke is blowing for miles through the valley.
