why use the ruler - use macro rails :o

Nice video i believe you for using tripods and camera timer but you can also shoot macros hand held if with enough light.its really nice to use a timer if your subject is not flying or moving around like flowers but how can you go using a ruler for focusing, setting your tripod if the subjects are ants, butterflies, bugs etc.

I have watched many videos to learn about Macro photography.. If i would have watched this first, i would know everything i need to know.. great video! easy to understand and follow, and no crazy music either :) Great Job!

@supportren The new GoPro has no viewfinder - I can do macro photos with a compact Canon that I have. On the video side it's harder...

Great video! What is that attachment on the 24-70mm @6:28? Is that an extension tube?

@catascouts Thank you! But you you can use all the concepts that I showed you by placing a magnifying glass in front of your go pro and attaching a ruler to find the distance in which the camera is focused. Then use that setting and you can do your own macro!
