My top 10 favourite female singers. Many may think it's messed up but that's where the word "MY" comes into play. Some performers I didn't add were Audrey Hepburn, i love her version of Moon River but that's only one song so I can't take her as a singer. Another one I couldn't include was Julieta Venegas, because I finished editing the video when I remembered her and I was too lazy to put her in. I know she won't feel sad or anything.

Some people might not know some of the people I picked as my top favourites. Some of them are Maria Doyle Kennedy, best known for her role as Catherine Of Aragon in The Tudors, she's an Irish singer and she's got some pretty good tunes like Fuckability, Skin, etc.
Paolacec is a girl i saw on youtube performing the Beatles' "Help!" and Sublime & No Doubt's "Saw Red" and immediately thought she was awesome. Her cover of "Saw Red" is a song I just can't stop listening to.
Julie Delpy is a French singer and actress. She's on the "Before Sunset" movie, one of my favourites, even though I'm not a romantic guy at all. On that movie she performs an amazing version of "A Waltz For A Night" and another one in french. Both great songs.
Belle du Berry, the lead singer of one of my top bands, Paris Combo, a band so fking awesome that puts me in the best mood everytime I listen to any of their tracks even if I can't understan a word thei're saying. I recommend everyone to somehow get their first album called "Paris Combo" which is the best. The song I chose for this video is called "Lettre P..."
Mariska Veres is someone you should all know, she was the leadsinger for a psychedelic rock Dutch band called Shocking Blue, with number one hit "Venus". The song I used on this video was "Daemon Lover".
Nancy Nevins is the lead singer for a 60's psychedelic rock band called Sweetwater. This band was suposed to be the first one to play on Woodstock festival but for some reason they did not. They also toured with the Doors. Nancy was only 17 when she recorded their first album called "Sweetwater" and this song is "Two Worlds".
Signe Toly Anderson was Jefferson Airplane's first female vocalist. She is the one singing on their first record, Jefferson Airplane Takes Off. Before joining the band she was a well recognized blues singer as she does in this song, Chauffeur Blues. She had to leave the airplane because she was pregnant and wanted to raise a family. That's why Grace Slick joined the Airplane later.

  • It's your list but I would have Grace Slick higher as she is incredible, I would include Joan Baez & Mama Cass & at No.1 I would have Judith Durham. It doesnt matter if you are into folk, rock, punk, no one can match Judith's magical voice. My all time favourite female is Deborah Harry I because I fell in love with her but I would still have Judith no.1 & for performance Chrissy Amphlett of the Divinyls...the most incredible female perfomer of all time with the most underated band in history.

  • @snookermark I've been meaning to do a new list but there's about 30 people involved in it!! 30 sec per artists would make a 15min video!! It includes Mama Cass, Michelle, Sandy Denny, Maddy Prior, Judy Dyble, Françoise Hardy, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell... only to mention a few!!

  • WHERE'S KATY PERRY?

  • @FlopsyMcFlip You gotta be kidding.

  • Julie delpy sounds like lady gaga!

  • @modi4ever1 Hey, hey, don't offend real artists like that!

  • U FORGOT ABOUT EDITH PIAFF!!!! :O

  • OK, Linda McC wins by virtue of her devotion to her family and husband, and he clearly reciprocated her efforts.

. But does anybody besides Sir Paul believe that Linda had ANY musical talent? Not to denigrate her. Clearly she was an accomplished woman. But NOT musically.
