The keffiyeh is not even a Muslim headdress (unlike the amamah) and was only adopted by Arabs in the past few centuries. It has no religious significance whatsoever, and traditionally was more associated with the Jews, Samaritans, and Christians of Palestine, rather than the Muslims (who wore fezzes and turbans until recently).

Ahhh...The sheer hatred of right wing losers.I'm a white American, and I both own one not for the sake of a fashion or political statement,I wear it for it's practicality and it's usefulness.People like this reporter are just plain pathetic with their methods of spreading fear and hate. These people are nothing short of warmongers who will criticize you for merely not conforming to their definition of what they like to believe is normal.Fuck that stupid bitch. She's just an Israel ass kisser.

what an annoying woman. media whore, ignorant bigot. she makes me want to wear a keffiyah from now on, all the time. she gives jewish people a bad name.
-
Read a history book and lean about the Keffiyeh. Arabs, Jewish and Samaritan descendants, have worn variations of the keffiyeh since biblical times!
-
umm what is she doing outside of the kitchen?
-
@HC447 Yes.. Because we haven't been living there for the past 5700 years right?
-
@HC447 The keffiyeh has coexisted in both regions, it has no meaning other than the meaning the people want to give it, the Palestinian keffiyeh and the Israeli are two different things, both might look similar but they have their own meaning.
this is the stupidest reporter ever. filled with hate towards the arab culture . everyone is allowed to wear watever they want( its called freedom of speech ) and the keffiyah is not a symbol of jihad. what ignorance !!

I and many of my fellow Marines wore a shemagh/keffiyeh when I was deployed to Afghanistan. Does that make us supporters for Islamic jihad? No. All it means is that we adopted a very useful piece of clothing from the culture. It has nothing to do with jihad.
