The day was June 19, 2001. The location was Diethrick Park, Jamestown NY. The first game of a professional team from Brooklyn since the Dodgers left in 1957. The hosts were the Jamestown Jammers. The Ceremonial first pitch was delivered by Brooklyn Dodger icon, Carl Erskine. The day was highlighted by the first ever top of the eighth rendition of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" by the harmonica playing Carl Erskine. The first pich was delivered by Jammers pitcher Zach Miner. One for the books.
