  • this is not really gershwin's arrangement.. not rhythm in the beginning. yikes. or in the end. or at all..

  • @breekwhal

sorry guys, this IS Gershwin's arrangement - every note is what he wrote back in the 30's when preparing this volume of piano solo concert arrangements of his songs. do your research before posting comments pls

  • too fast.

  • @chriswhiting7 All you Gershwin experts out there: go listen to how fast Gershwin himself played this music and google up his comments about the style of "The Songbook" arrangements which is where this score is from: its simply f a s t....

  • ask on any sheet music website for The Songbook, 18 arrangements by the composer for piano solo, George Gershwin. Publ by Warner Bros - good luck

  • its published as 'The Songbook' by George Gershwin, publ is Warner Bros Music I think. Its easily available everywhere - good luck!

  • @gdooyear Hey - love that very subtle comment!

  • I actually like it this fast, but I don't like the glissando at the end.

  • Bravo! The tempo is exactly what Gershwin wanted. I can almost play it this fast, and will be able to once I have it memorized. I can play all 18 of the pieces and have worked on them for YEARS. The more I play them, the more I realize what a genius Gershwin was. I'l almost ready to perform the Three Preludes, another inspired set.

  • Fast, for the sake of being fast.......

  • No Joy.

  • That was so fast!!! I liked the repeat and the minor improvs!
