@KUjayhawk90 Thanks. I'm shooting for low 13s next year after the dyno tune this winter and some underdrive pullies. That will be pretty much the last of my NA mods. After that, I'm going forged internals with a blower and will be aiming for 12 flat quarters. It's addicting and I see this car going much faster in the future. It started off as a mediocre 15 second car. I will still run it in full street trim with heated leather seats and all of the options too. :-)
@flamdpt You should practice some more. I've ran an 8.75 1/8th mile at 81.18mph in my 4.6 Liter Lincoln with just bolt-ons. You wouldn't want to lose to a 4.6 would ya? :-D
@srt4slow Lol yea, but Iv'e been looking around and I found some GTO's for around 11,000-20,000. But I love the way they sound, look just everything I like about them and im going to get one one of these day's. But if it came down to it the only time I would buy a Dodge it would be a truck or the new SRT8 Challenger.
@srt4slow Im not talking about the body style of the GTO im talking about the weight of it is like a family car. And the GTO does a 1/4 in 13sec flat in RWD and the Jeep does it in about 13.2 in AWD so it pretty much depend's on the driver. But if you turn the AWD off that Jeep wouldn't be nothing. And yes I kno that a GTO has a 6.0l Vette engine it, I also know the 04 model's have 5.7l 350's in it, just saying considering GTO's are only my fav car's in the world... win or lose:)
@srt4slow Ok im not dissing the Jeep becuz it's badazz that a suv can beat sport's car's, but the reason for the better 0-60 than a vette is becuz it's AWD and the vette spin's at the start off and the vette will dust it's ass past the 1/8 line... And don't you mean a stock GTO will never beat a stock SRT8 Jeep, and the GTO can beat a SRT8 Jeep throw 1/4 of a mile and up, the only reason it can not beat it at 1/8 is because the Jeep is AWD, and GTO's are more like a family car with a fast v8.
@srt4slow Yea but do you see it take's a SRT8 aka one of Dodge's finest motor's just to beat something that isnt in it's class! SRT8's should be up there with Shelby Cobra's not a 20,000 dollar GTO which still keep's up with any stock SRT8's beside the new one's. So if you look at it my way that's really sorry.
GTO's aren't the best straightliners, especially if it was a manual. AWD, steeper gears (and we'll ignore the extra .1 litre) should give the jeep the advantage off the line. However if the jeep really weighs 5600lbs (almost a TON more than the goat) then it should've been over when it hit second.
