Altoona is not that bad! Seriously! Yes, there's crime and drugs here, but isn't there crime and drugs everywhere? Our school district is one of the better ones for the most part (perhaps not the best. I don't care for it, but it's not that bad). It's a city that fell from grace along with the railroad, but it has a special place in my heart.

You're right. Anyone who thinks Altoona is bad should move to Newark NJ where I live. The last 4 months 5 people have been shot to death within a block of my building. And I live in a comparitively safe part of the city.

ok heres the deal, altoona isnt as bad as everyone thinks it is. we have a good school district, and there arent a lot of shootings and drug busts! i only saw 1 or 2 drug busts in my whole 11 years of my life! so ha!

Oh please Altoona School District sucks, I go there and most of the kids are idiots. I agree with you on liking to leave coming from Tyrone, but it's not a nice place.
