The 30fps seemed smooth whilst there was perceptible choppiness with the 25fps

how did you put both frame rates in one video? without any problems?

Looks about the same to me!

@mezzanineh15 I wish the US would adopt the PAL video standard. Not that it matters much anymore, but I am sick of decimal value frame rates, and having to remove pulldown in order to get 23.97 fps. PAL is much simpler, 25 fps or 50 fps!

25fps is a better quality image! blacks are blacker whites are whiter, it almost looks HI-passed!

Thank!

The difference is as told 15 min lock,
and ZS3 has 30 fps so if u look close u can see its smoother than 25 as u know ;)

I have an update (for anyone interested). I turned off vsync on my computer and with it off both clips are virtually indistinguishable. I watched a lot of PAL TZ7 videos on youtube with vsync on and I could definitely tell, not just because of smoothness but also many very slight hitches caused by the 25fps being divided into the locked 30fps on my screen. But now that is gone the videos don't have that hitching.
I found better the ZS3.
One question: Which memory card did you exactly use to record this video?

For the video recorded in the TZ7 I used a Sandisk Ultra II 15 MB/s.
For the video recorded with the ZS3 I used a Kingston SD HC class 6. Both cards are 8 GB.

When you try to switch cards between both cameras, and you try to shoot video a message appears saying video cannot be recorded because the card was formatted in a different mode. So if you shoot with the TZ7 first you have to format the card with the TZ7 and then shot.
To do this video I used I movie (US MacBook Pro) and without changing any settings, both cards were imported without problems.
