  • @1337insanity I agree that a formula board may be able to travel at these speeds in 10 knots across the wind (I also sail formula) but I have found that when racing inland against boats that are extremely efficient upwind in lighter shifty winds, the serentiy is a more effective board to keep up/beat them with.

  • @AlexSmith941 If you´re good at formula with the right equipment you can get a formula board planing at 8 knots, at 10 knots you can easily go at least 15 knots fast. the serenity might be faster at 1-6 knots,maybe 7, but definitly not in 8-10knots wind speed.

  • Im thinking, whats the purpose of such a board?

    If one would want a light wind board, why not use a Formula (which I assume would be in full planning in such a wind?)

  • it's not easy besting the boats in light lake wind!
