Once more some Schubert dances, actually designed for the pianoforte.
I think however the sound charming on the viol and I like to play everything on my viol anyhow.
in schubert's days there was an instrument not very unlike the gamba: the Arpeggione.
A guitar has always been popular.

guitar is a copy of a french guitar, the maker was Grobert, 1830 Paris. The copy is made by my swedish luthier Lars Jönsson.

  • Very Nice! It's just possible somebody in the 19th century would have brought Great Grandfather's viol down out of the attic. And guitar was a favorite instrument for young ladies to learn... That's the excuse I use when I play 19th century music on my 18th copy flute... Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Thanks, that is what I am thinking too, I like it anyway. Happy thanksgiving too.
