Amen! I went natural eight years ago and I can not count the number of negative commnets that I got from family members. My sister even asked me if I was gay? because of my hair! Really people! I am not my hair. It frustrates and pains me to see the lack of understanding and acceptence of our own natural hair.

"That one split end...." I DIED laughing.

I am so blessed to have a mother that has been natural all her life and finally I have caught up and am natural now and loving it!

"GLUE THAT HAT ON FOREVER"---I was laughing so hard. You made my day. Thank you for your truths and keep em coming.

Thank you for this video my mother gets on me for wearing my natural hair to work. She claims it is unprofessional. I do not have the personality to wear natural hair so I must always put a wig on.

glue that hat on! XD
The slavemaster used to call our hair dreadful because our kinky curly coily texture. Slaves did not have combs or products to maintain there head and as a result "locing" our hair was the only logical option. Thats how the word DREADS came about...you should call them locs....
