  • Can you share any information on dealing with traffic police? I know we have to show our driving licence if asked to but i got pulled over the other week for allegedly having no seat belt on and i was not sure of my rights as i didnt have my licence on me. I wasnt sure if i was obliged to tell him my name (which i didnt) after being assaulted & threatened with arrest and court if i didnt accept a fine, i stood my ground and some how left with no fine. Thank you for all the info you have shared.

  • @DANNYKESTON The contractual nature of the driving licence obliges you to present relevant documents on demand, if stopped, but the rest of the information remains the same. Watch my 'dealing with the police' addendum series for more information, if you haven't already done so. Congratulations on making the information work for you.

  • Well I wasn't thinking of religion. I was simply thinking of what I'm legally required under penalty of infraction or incarceration in my state. I'm sorry I do follow what you speak of, I would rather remain out of jail than execute

My god given rights. I am restricted so minimally it dosent make me upset to follow societies rules.

  • @SDS3292 If they WERE society's rules, I might consider blindly following them too but they're invariably not. If you were to research the inception of most of these Statutes, you would find that 'society' and 'societal benefit' has little to do with it. Anyhow, thank you for the conversation. Study well.

  • I guess my only point is there are stop and identify yourself statutes in the us. If you don't identify yourself you can be arrested. It has gone to court and rulings have stuck in many cases. I don't see any harm in giving my name to an officer, I have done it multiple times when requested without incident

  • @SDS3292 No one is telling YOU not to acquiesce,it is a choice made based on your level of education.I have a right to privacy and, unless I have caused harm, injury or loss, who I am is no one else's business, whatever costume they may be wearing. If you want to see ID,you're going to have to prove I am a 'person' subject to the 'rule', that I'm obliged to have and to carry such a thing, then you're going to have to prove that I am obliged to produce it on demand.

  • i may be wrong but dont they also say "anything you fail to mention may harm your defence" or something like that? just checking is that part important or a coercive method?

  • I had always wondered why in the UK, why the Government had made an act that enforces it's subjects to pay a private company (insurance company) money and if they don't pay the private company the money, then the police man can then steal your car of you and crush it for not following the rules. I don't know much about it, but I do know that the police ask you to sign a contract to take your registered vehicle.

  • @TheAntiTerrorist I wish I had known this information long ago. I am a law abiding human being. But have been bullied and intimidated by the police a number of times over the years. How come this abuse of our rights has never been followed by the media? Is it all a big conspiracy? Because that's how it looks?

    Thanks for the advice

  • I agree with all but the seatbelt thing. You say it makes no difference to anyone but insurance agents... WRONG. A car is hundreds of kilos mass dependent on the driver's control. 1 side impact or hard turn and the driver is no longer in control (sliding out of the seat, hanging onto the wheel which makes it turn wildly etc.) I learned this firsthand. A driver not secured in place is not in control of a dangerous projectile that can take other lives. Belted is just being responsible

  • if someone near me is smoking cannabis, can the police search me if i dont agree? because if they cant then im pissed off, they took my fingerprints, adress, name, date of birth, dna samples, its bullshit just cos the guy sitting across from me had weed on him!

  • ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh yeah that balaclava turns me on................

  • New World Order ¬¬, if this bullshit exist, the police fight to the good side, talk with officers, crazy bullshit.

Maybe the mafia help you if you need.
