This is a segment from my Raquel solo run. The rules are as follows:
-Characters other than Raquel can only Guard.
-Characters other than Raquel must be under level 10 (this is done by equipping the Monopoly Gourd on Raquel).
-Characters other than Raquel must use their initial equipment. No Alter Parts may be used for Jude's ARM.
-No items that can be only gotten through New Game+ carry overs can be used.
This is done on New Game+ only to have access to the Monopoly Gourd to keep other characters' levels in check. Nothing carried over from the previous playthrough will be used.
Optional superboss time! For most of these I won't be using Equites. Why? Because Equites is broken and Raquel doesn't need to be any more broken than she already is. Besides, it's more fun this way.
This is Wyvern, found in Dievas Airport. Wyvern has two forms, one flying and one grounded. His attacks include high powered magical attacks, one of which can inflict stone, and another which can inflict sleep. In addition to that, he possess Quicken, which raises his speed by quite a bit, and Hyper, which doubles physical damage. He halves all elements and is vulnerable to poison, but it only deals 2500 to his 130,000 HP.
My strategy in this battle is to only attempt to hit him when he's on the ground, since Raquel will most likely miss in the air. Most of the time, I wanted to get counters, since Raquel deals 50% more damage on counters and has a higher critical rate (~16% instead of ~10%). The Morrigan Brand is used to increase the counter and critical rates even further (counter to about 1/3 and about doubles critical rates). Punching Glove is used in hope of a Finest Arts activation (25% chance on a critical hit).
So basically when he's flying, I just defend. When he gets on the ground, I attack, and hope he tries to swing at Raquel so she can counter. It's long and has lots of chances of going wrong since Wyvern has over 3x the speed of Raquel before even casting Quicken (over 4.5x after) and solid damage, but is possible to win.
Setup:
Level
Morrigan Brand - 1050 ATP, 3 ACN, -10 HIT, increases probability of skill activation
Cromwell - 590 DFP, 470 MGR, +20 EVA
Fish Badge - Immunity to character-based status (sleep/confusion/stone/instant death).
Punching Glove - Randomly changes a critical attack to Finest Arts (25% chance normally).

You can get the Monopoly Gourd only towards the end of the first playthrough, but I needed it throughout the whole playthrough, so that's why I had to do this on New Game+.

Part math, part luck. If you pay attention to how much damage he deals with each attack, you can gauge whether or not you'll survive. Sometimes guarding helps there. Other than that, luck is also needed since if he uses the wrong attack at the wrong time, he can still kill.
