First, NJCL 4331 arrives in Bay Head, ahead of schedule, with GP40PH-2B class leader 4200 leading, followed by a Comet III, a Comet IIM, three more CIIIs, and 5001 trailing, before turning in the loop. I then left for a while, and on the way out, I saw three strings of Comet Is stored in the yard.
Later, train 4335 arrives with 5005 leading, three more CIIIs and 4218 trailing, before turning in the loop.
Immediately after 4335 arrives, 4200 pulls out of the yard, and heads up to Long Branch with 4352. This train is seen in the video clip at the end.

  • try going to point pleasant. you'll see a train every time! (I do)

  • While I was shooting this, there was an hour break between trains, so I rode up there. It was so crowded because of beachgoers. BH is quieter, and therefore easier to hang around.

Besides, any train that goes to PPB goes to BH, since they layover there.
