I offer 4 solid points on why you should forgive your parents if they have hurt you in your childhood and I also offer a suggestion for making up for what you believe you lost.
I forgave my parents for physically and sexually abusing as a young adult. The problem is that they continually discredit me with family members and friends, in order to destroy my credibility. I'm a professional in my 40's. In spite of my accomplishments, my parents still discredit me, often making retroactive 30 year old allegations. I never in my life disrespected my parents. So, Forgiveness is one thing, But sometimes when your parents are mentally ill, the best thing to do is keep away.
"Brooklyn 1967" I feel sorry for you even though I am 13 a know that my parents are good people and it's very hard for them.
