  • Because the instrument cluster is mounted with crappy rubber vibration isolators and the dont hold the cluster firmly when so much force is applied to the frame. I fixed it and it sounds great now lol. However I do WANT a suspension upgrade when jumping from now on. PLUS THE BIKE IS VERY VERY HEAVY!

  • Who said elephants can't fly?

  • My bike was landing so hard that the muffler seam was hitting the plastic bracket that holds the rear brake line.

I put a Progressive dual rate spring and shock on the back (damping isn't so hot, but preload adjustment beats the stock setup hollow) and I installed progressive dual rate springs and 15wt oil in the front end and she has yet to bottom out. :)

  • Check out Ricor for KLR suspension upgrades. Some of my fellow riders have gone with their "Intiminator" front fork upgrade with a revalve and tune of the shock, and the result was amazing.

  • part of the noise is actually the side-stand

  • @ronkierstead I'll second that!!!

  • why is it my klr also sounds like i just landed on a trash can when I take a small jump

  • Here's a check, how is the License plate. I have come back with the bottom curled up.
