However I agree on the fullball hit and the 30 degree (half ball) hit. Whit these shots your sightline stays above your cue.
Quarter ball hit for example, i rather aim at a quarter bal next to the object ball (i.e. target is in mid air OR extend that line to a spot on the rail ) than chancing sight line.

The concept is clear but this absolutely a don't in pool. This isn't what pool text-books say and i would't learn this myself or other people. Look at snooker players thay have always their chin on te stick. With pool you don't have to have your chin on the cue but your sight line has to be the equal to your stick line. Some (pro) pool players don't have their sight line equal to their stick line because they prefer to to have their dominant eye above their cue,but they are consistent whith tha

when u r talking about sightline being parallel do you mean aim not at the ball but where the parallel line actually hits? i dont quite understand it sorry
