TREASURES of SHIAWASSEE COUNTY MICHIGAN is a virtual tour of the historic landmarks and architecturally significant structures.

Take a walk in the fog across the Heritage Footbridge in Owosso. The Shiawasse River meanders through the city past the Shiawassee Arts Center, the historic Comstock Cabin and the famous Curwood Castle. The castle was built by author James Oliver Curwood in the 1920's and is a French chateau design. He used it for a writing studio and upon his death, the Curwood family gave it to the city. The Comstock family built the log cabin in 1936 along the river.
