There was a discussion, a vote, and a 9/11 speaker was voted down. Why? Because those who voted it down either: 1. Think 9/11 Truth is a diversion/distraction. 2. Think 9/11 Truth is stupid. 3. Think 9/11 Truth is too 'fringe' and will alienate and/or divide the (ever decreasing) anti-war movement. The World Can't Wait is the only anti-war group in Chicago that has EVER allowed a 9/11 Truth speaker at anti-war rally. And, guess what, it was VERY well received.

@RWFchicago I was rather disappointed with the protest overall. It was very socialist; the general message was that we should end the wars so we can spend more money on government programs domestically. What about reducing the size of government / debt. How about lower taxes? Not a peep about that!

@goateeqt No, the problem in not the government size, thats the old and fallacious school from Adam Smith, Milton Friedman etc.

The government size was actually reduced over the last 40 years and its power to regulate the markets.

Now you see the result, big corporations sucking all the capital, controlling the monetary policy and designing collapses to eat cheaper their competitions.

Is a fact that pure capitalist is a bless for a few and hunger for the most.

I'm not condoning Israeli treatment of Palestinians but five million refugees being denied the right of return while six million Jews were denied the right to life and that was just world war 2.

The Jews have been persecuted since time immemorial. The holocaust was not the only slaughter of Jews. If America do not defend Israel then it and its inhabitants will be wiped off the face of the earth.

People should read a fucking history book before they let the papers tell them what to think.

Are you joking? There are old people in that crowd who have probably given a lot more to your society than you have. You don't know what they have done so don't make generalistic comments about them. You don't have to get yourself killed to contribute to society. Your freedom is perfectly safe you don't need to invade countries that have no possible chance of ever landing an assault on your country.

Thank you for sharing! I think you misunderstood my post, friend. I am a 9/11 Truth activist. I was the only vocal presence in the M20 meetings calling for a 9/11 Truth speaker which ultimately forced the vote. I'm not saying 9/11 Truth is stupid, as I've been working with 9/11 Truth for 4 years. I was explaining some of the reasons why a 9/11 Truth speaker was voted down by the M20 members and praising WCW for being the only anti-war group to allow a 9/11 speaker (me) at an event.
