Wow, thanks for sharing this. I watched it at the time. It wasn't just the first 'Countdown' but also the first ever programme broadcast on Channel 4.

@countdowngoofs OMG that is a much younger Richard Whitely presenting Countdown this very first ever Countdown was shown in November 1982 for the very first time thank you for uploading this it is amazing seeing how the very first ever countdown is much different and older it is also good to see a much younger Richard Whitely presenting the very first ever Countdown in 1982 plus the old intro at 0:00 thank you very much do you have anymore recorded Channel 4 Countdowns from 1982 and 1983 please
