Our first time ever out Geocaching, while trying out a new App on my Motorola Atrix (Android 2.3.4) called C:GEO, decided to give it a whirl at a nearby local park, Rockwood Park in Central Saint John, New Brunswick. Went 2 for 2 finding caches "Lookout Rockwood" and "No Diving at Fisher Lake". Filmed September 18th, 2011.

  • Never heard of geocaching until now. What a great idea. It's like being a kid again and exploring the local woods for treasure haha. This appeals to the big kid in me. Beautiful park you were in. Great video mate!

  • @mrgrimviking Yeah, Geocaching is something I'd heard of for years, but never tried. You need a GPS in order to play because the game relies on tracking the global co-ordinates to a map. However most newer smartphones have GPS and Mapping abilities, mines an Android, but iPhones can do it too. It's great outdoorsy fun with a Techie note to it, and a great thing to get us Beer guys(and Beer guts) outside for a walk.

  • Use the satellite map so that you can see trails, openings in the woods and swamps/wet areas. Add the Radar add-on for C:GEO - I love C:GEO. Enjoy caching, I just passed the 600 mark.
