Looking at 20 years of the Land Rover Discovery, including the later LR3 and newest LR4 models. If you like your SUVs rugged and muddy, this is for you - there's some great archive footage from the Camel Trophy events, and a Disco pulling a train!

Even with all the complaints its the only other vehicle other then a Jeep Wrangler you can drive off the lot directly into and out of a mud pit.

recently aquired a 1997 discovery I, black with tan leather interior, cost me $2k USD not bad, radio doesnt work and has a slight exhaust leak which just makes it sound awesome, but i love it! drives great and runs smooth, performs amazing offroad even with stock chassis and basic all-terrain tires, love the Discovery I and II body styles, that raised roof in the rear is great for space! not a fan of the new LR3 or LR4 myself either
