This was a test of the timed interval capabilities of my Nikon D200 camera. I am spray painting a new reflector I just made for a photo shoot. The camera shot 70 images at 10 megapixels each. I batch processed them down to a smaller size, then used Quicktime Pro to convert them into a movie. Simple.

  • be sure to set auto white balance off to avoid the flicker

  • Yes, here are the things to set:

    1) White Balance set to manual (sunlight, etc)

    2) Auto focus OFF (focus your subject manually)

    3) Manual exposure (set your F-stop and shutter)

    4) If using a lens with VR, VR=OFF

  • @surfphotog2000 easiest way is to upgrade to quick time pro, if you are ok with it get the serial from google or else buy it. Once upgrated go to file and then to "open image sequence" then select open the folder with your squence and select the first pic, WHALA, done all you have to do now is choose play back speed. Have fun :P

  • How do you turn this into video?

  • use the interval meter

  • Man that is brilliant. I hope you are employed in marketing arts.

  • How many seconds between each "click"?

  • I liked how you painted, then painted over smiley. :)

  • I must give the time lapse feature a try, not really thought about it until I saw this. Cool.
