I've been skating freeline for a few months now and I've got a question about shoes. How much does the sole of the shoe really matter? I've got some average sized New Balances, but they don't have as much sole as say, a skateboard shoe. I'm really feeling the vibration from skating in the soles of my feet and their cramping. Do skateboard shoes really make that much of a difference while freeline skating?

@CodyFund shoes can definitely be a factor, but probably not until you start doing tricks. doing toe flips, your shoes are a big factor as a thinner sole helps you grip the skate to pull it. Your feet cramping will happen no matter what the shoe is. But the more you're on the skates and your riding style improves your feet will stop to cramp. sometimes it just happens but when your riding is fluid you should not experience that anymore
