The practice of meditating to improve your mood has been increasing in popularity in Western countries, and as high stress levels are a problem with many modern workplaces, what better subject to investigate than one that helps people relax? We headed out to visit Krishnan at the Ananda Los Angeles Meditation Center, who gave us a few tips on meditation techniques, and Swami Atmarupananda at the Trabuco Ramakrishna Monastery, who spoke to us about the lifestyle of living as a monk meditating three times a day.

  • It's okay to trim the hair on your arms, bro. Don't feel bad about it. lol

  • @mentalvagabond anything is exercise and nothing is bad.but to produce life you need attention draw out not in. so look more and listen more outside that produces peace joy and hapiness drop to drop .enjoy!

  • @mentalvagabond im pretty sure that you are meditating in this inbetween sleep and wake

  • A question! I have taught myself a relaxation technique to fall asleep at night which I have used for many years. I lie on my back, hands crossed over my chest, focus on darkness and my breathing my only thoughts are of heavy arms and legs, pushing into the bed, then I can feel it begin. I seem to enter a place between awake and sleep I can stay there or fall asleep. Is this mediation or something else? Should I be using this type of technique or have I taught myself some bad skills?

  • The missing link!!

  • I found this very interesting. Oneness with the Universe.

  • yeah, what's with his arms? He probably went black and actually came back.
