Marty Thomas did a cabaret called "Songs I'm Not Supposed To Sing" at the Duplex Cabaret Bar in NYC in Feb. 2006. He's known for doing songs made popular by women because hes got this insane crazy high belt. It's kind of freaky but crazy cool. He is in Wicked on Broadway, here he covers the cover song from the show. It's not the best I've heard him do it, but it's still unbelievable. If ever there were to be a male Elphaba I think the choice would be clear!!!!

  • @sikohlman

You must be crazy. Are you even a guy to be saying this? This is beyond normal tenor range.

  • @musicman7416 B flat major

  • what key is this.? i was singing with him and i could hit all the notes comfortably, i can hit elpheba's original key but this is more comfortable.. is there a karaoke version to this song in this key.?

  • this is awesome

  • guys it's really not that high. it's in a normal tenor range and then he chucks a couple of pops runs in.

I'm not saying he doesnt have a great voice, but it's not as high as your making it out to be.

  • love it :) he has such a girl voice XD love his and kates crazy riffs :)

  • Was i ment to be impressed??

Okay he has a good range and okay voice but needs to learn controll and also needs to pull back. WAY to many inflections and "frills" stick to the melody. The reason its an amazing song is how it is written so adding trills n shit like that just ditracts from the song and makes it sound like shit

  • Good job , i wish Adam lambert would sing this son he would belt it out so well =)

  • its a small world if you're a gay...
