Lundy is Norse for Puffin Island mon amis.

Lundy is Norse for Puffin Island
Sadly there are not too many puffins left now, but after the extermination of the black rats in 2003 their numbers did start to rise.

That looks like a really fun place to fly to.
Nice take off! I want to take my Tiger into Lundy from Perranporth. Did you do a standard short field take off? What about the rabbit holes? How much headwind?
Cheers

If you fly a Maule every takeoff is short due to its performance :0) If you're going in a Grumman Tiger I would check on the condition of the strip and length of grass from the locals before heading off there. In the video, it was all cross and no headwind. Hope you have a good trip.

Hi Leestrong7, it isn't so much where you learn, but the experience you build up with flying into small strips that's important before you head off to a place like Lundy. Having a robust and great aircraft like the Maule with 235 horse power also helps. Thanks for the comments.

Guys, get a life! Who cares what you think about Simon's great harmonica playing. There are too many people out there who like him to make your comments irrelevant. Have a nice day, now!
