Bell ringing at Prestatyn, North Wales

Cambridge minor on the light six (5-2-3 in C) at Prestatyn, Denbighshire. For once I'm in front of the camera! The bells were put in in 2003 and are rung from the porch, which is rather snug. They are a mixture of bells which were already in the tower, together with a couple of 2nd hand Eijsbouts/Whitechapel bells acquired through the Keltek Trust. Eayre & Smith did the bellhanging work and they make a lovely little ring.

at the church that I ring at we ring in the 2nd floor

Yes it's a ground floor ring. It's actually the porch of the church, apparently at weddings they have to stop to let the bride through. There's really no room to sit out so an upstairs ringing room would be rather cramped. Nice bells!

YES! yes it is near pontins! I went there, just got back actually. Heard these on a practice night on tuesday. sound small. could on ly just hear them. It was a very comforting sound to hear from wales!
