i got the ps3 ultimate edition half way through the game and i love it but it is quite repetitive

If u like this game, you should probably play knights of the old republic 1 and 2 and jade empire too. Those where the first games with the gameplay style of dragon age origins.

Dragon Age: Origins is IGN's role-playing game of the year and PC Game of the year. It was also one of the nominees for the 360 game of the year. And you can control the characters, you just need to find time and set your tactics for the characters you use so you don't always have to be clicking for them. It's an RPG and a strategy game, idk why you believe it's a bad game. It's a worthy game that was praised for it's story and gameplay. There's something wrong with you if you disagree.
