  • omslachtig, kan ook via GPO

  • @basmagic

Creating a mandatory profile through GPO? Please elaborate.

You can lock down a profile through GPO, you can not create a mandatory profile through GPO (as far as I know).

So please share your knowledge instead of just making a statement.

  • Can I combine a Mandatory User Profile with Group Preferences?

  • @Arlesterc

    Offcourse...

  • @Arlesterc

Yes Off course. Whenever a user logs in, a temporary copy of the mandatory profile will be created

  • In my domain I'm using Win XP for my client OS, does this still mean I need to add the .V2 at the end of the Mandatory folder name? Thanks.

  • @Evilbones76

No you don't need the V2 at the end. Everything before Windows Vista/2008 don't need the V2 extension. Windows Vista/7/2008/2008R2 need the V2 at the end.

  • I've been trying to do this for far too long and the Microsoft articles are no help. This video sorted me out perfectly.

  • Thanks a lot :)

  • Excellent video, thank you...

1 Question, surely you would need to strip out the reference to the user Mandatory in the shell folder paths?
