Junior documentary project at SUNY Purchase, 300 Ducks focuses on the sport of duckpin bowling. Split into two videos because of the 10min time limit on youtube.

  • @supersasukemaniac it's a known fact that duck pins scores higher... what do you mean by "challenge"?

  • 5:38 looks like the granny was about to fall asleep haha

  • @sjaffe I've never even glimpsed a duckpin alley, but I have access to the internet (as they obviously do) and it becomes painfully obvious that scoring in tenpin is much easier overall than duckpin or candlepin. Candlepin appears to be about 20 pins harder than duckpin judging by the best averages and high score (150's to 130's and 279- 255 or so). Those averages are worse than the best tenpin bowlers by 70-100 or so pins.

  • @gamemeister27 it's amazing how many negative comments I get on these duckpin videos from people who just say that tenpin is much harder and more of a "real sport." I never thought people would get so upset-- especially if they just did their research (or even just watched the videos) and were able to understand the facts... How many perfect games are rolled in 10pin every day? These commenters should try bowling a game of duckpins and see how they do!

  • @misterbillylicious Actually Duckpin is significantly harder than tenpin bowling. Learn your facts!

  • Kindly tell the people at Barnum Bowl to straighten out the American Flag. It's not supposed to be "drooping" or "sagging" as theirs is.

  • @cd637299 Duck pins is MORE of a challange then Candle pins and i've played candlepins before

  • I LOOVEEE duckpin!! I've been playing duckpin for over 18 years now.

  • Just did some duckpin bowling this weekend in Towson Maryland... LOTS OF FUN for the whole family ...

  • (1) The background music at the beginning was also the theme of the filmed TV series "Championship Bowling" in the 50s & 60s; I wonder if there is more than 1 YouTube clip of THAT available....(2) Not meaning to demean duckpins, but I wonder how many d'pin bowlers have tried their hand at candlepins in New England. Quite the challenge.
