Was child proofing part of the yard and had to dig up a s#it load of glass. Lot of old hand blown stuff, quite a few intact pieces. Threw em all out while cursing the people who had thrown em there. Guess I should have kept them...

Those stoneware colander looking things could also be for seperating lye to make soap. I saw a large jug at a bottle show recently that was full of holes and that's what they used the jug for. Hopefully you can find out for sure. They are really cool pieces. You have to remember that back in those days making your own soap was a common practice. 2 year ago we had a big flood,and the rain washed out the old dump by the river.we found blue glass,old doll heads,everything a 1900's dump has in it........love your videos:)....keep'um coming...thanks

We don't really know much about it, sorry. We were hoping someone else out there could date it for us. He thought it could possibly be pre-civil war, but who knows?
