Theme to WYOU, News22 in Scranton, PA. Used during the mid 80's until January, 1987. There was a theme song that went to the music. "We're the Heart of Pennsylvania"
Seeing that, and the names of my former co-workers and friends roll by int eh credits, and knowing what the station has become under the latest "manglement" brings a tear to my eye. Working with those people at that time was one of the best periods of my career. I was anchoring the morning news when they were building that set, and had to brush away the saw dust in the morning. LOL
That set WAS temporary. They were building the new set only a few feet away from that desk. I don't remember how long it took to build the new set. They were a new team as well. This was under Jim Church's direction as News Director. What you see is just the start of what became a very good news team.
it's amazing to think how the news has changed -- you don't even get to SEE the credits anymore & the names of the production crew members. they try to squish so much into so little!
So glad this was recommended for me. Now my life is complete.
