Slow motion videos of Osku Palermaa's two-handed release. Shot at the 2008 World Men's Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, using the smooth slow record feature of the Sony HDR-SR1E camera.
Approx. 580 rpm.

@mjhbkfan Robert Smith used to crush the old cheetah pattern rocketing the ball from outside. Apparently, it was just who qualified 2nd that was uncertain, 1st was always Smith.

@IAMADEUM I can't control the ball without the second hand, it allows me to stabilize the ball and reduces the amount of muscle involved by a great degree. The second hand is used as a thumb pretty much.

@IAMADEUM Heard of Mike Miller? First no-thumb bowler to bowl a perfect game on television. Didn't use two hands. Now his right wrist/arm is too screwed to bowl...

@IAMADEUM have you ever tried to throw a ball with no thumb? good luck on your backswing, and you dont drop the ball on your foot.

@alwaysthetenpin i see i hit a fanboi soft spot, rotfl. I bowl with a kid on my team who throws a thumb-less ball. He doesn't use 2 hands, yet he balances just fine at the shot. He also generates 580+ revs - as much as Palermaa.

2h release is all for show. The second hand doesn't do anything. It doesn't help spin, it doesn't throw harder....just for looks.

yeah thats deff. not true... robert smith has won a few titles on playing inbetween the first and second arrow and i've seen pete weber win many titles playing 5-6 arrow... so thats farrrrr from the truth.
