Great video of thundersnow in Middle Island, Suffolk County, New York. Shot around 6:30pm with a Canon7D. Flash of lightening can be seen at 15 seconds. NEW FOOTAGE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFm7zr...

I live in northern Rhode Island and I saw the thundersnow first hand. It's not a joke at all. It happened quite frequently during the height of the storm. Anyone who doesn't think it's real is just arrogant.

It's a conspiracy!! The government is trying to combine thunder and snow to make a new element: frozen lightning!

They will then launch these HUGE and seemingly ordinary ice cubes all over the globe, and when they're ready, they will release heat, melting the giant ice cubes and causing the thunder to escape, electrifying everything in it's path!

ONLY THE RICH WILL SURVIVE! We need to order bunkers to protect us from the frozen lightning! God help us all...

The weather has been crazy the past 10 years. This year, it's been a constant theme. My brother who NOW lives in the Chicago area has been updating us about the frigid temperatures and snowfall. While up here in Southeastern Alaska, we've received only about 2-3 weeks of sub-freezing temps since November, and a only a couple inches of snow that melted within a couple of days.

I don't live too far from there and I did see some flashes out of my window. Very interesting.

We lived in OK in 1990. That year we had a blizzard with thunder. Sounds strange but it's true. The weather channel could tell you why.
