Bench dips are a classic triceps exercise which you can do almost anywhere.

If you are advanced they are a good finisher to superset with other exercises.

For beginners this may be the triceps exercise to start with.

Place your arms with your palms facing away from you on the bench, couch, chair, counter, or whatever elevated surface you use.

Place your hands around shoulder width and lower your butt towards the floor.

Push yourself all the way up to the top position and squeeze your arms.

If you experience shoulder pain stop, and find an exercise which you can do for your triceps within your envelope of function.

If you have a muscle imbalance such as protracted shoulder girdle you should try to correct your posture.
