Hannah and Andrew take a Soweto township tour on a bike and experience this iconic township, renowned for its Freedom Struggle credentials and urban vibe!
Hannah: "I've never met friendlier, more accommodating people than I did in Soweto. The name comes from an abbreviation for South Western Townships, in case you were wondering.
Andrew and I each hopped onto a mountain bike, and joined about six other tourists on an easy cycling ramble through Soweto's streets. Most interesting was Vilikazi Street, where Nelson Mandela used to live. His house is now a museum. Fellow Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Archbishop Desmond Tutu still lives on Vilikazi, in a modest little house."
