Rand Paul and Ron Paul made a stop at the Steeplegate Inn for the Whistle Stop Presidential Tour on Jan 2nd, 2012 - the day before the Iowa Caucuses. The economy crisis, NDAA, and Patriot Act and foreign policies were highlighted.
*sorry for some of the shaky footage, I didn't bring my tripod...

Our currency MUST be tied to tangible assets- be it gold, silver, oil, palladium, etc. It could also be backed by a basket of goods. We cannot continue to print dollars with FAITH being the only thing backing them. This current system is doomed to collapse in a terrible way. Ron Paul is the only hope for this country. If he is not elected president you had better get the fuck out of this country. Seriously.

@stifler4041 over spending and unconstitutional wars is the reason we are in the debt crisis. The Constitution clearly states that states are to pay their debts in only gold or silver - if our money is not backed by one of those 2, then our money is not Constitutionally legal tender. The Federal Reserve is counterfeiting money based on nothing - this makes our money lose value at a very fast rate.

@tanksbb It is a state power that has been usurped from the states by the feds. Dr. Paul does not necessarily want to legalize it but wants the power to make that decision returned to the states as it should be - like alcohol. Prohibition on alcohol did not work either, but at least they had the courtesy to do it correctly and Constitutionally with a Constitutional Amendment...
