  • Hey, landings 1 and 3, great!, greased them. Question: I don't remember that the 172 had as fast a climb rate as it seems on the clip. Is the engine modified from the factory specs? just curious. Good luck on your continued flight instruction.

  • @grtthrl28 Just a standard 172. The video has no transitions in the edits so it might seem faster but really I just cut most of the flight except takeoff and landings.

  • Care to share how you mounted that camera? Tnx

  • @Dentfly1 Just a tripod strapped in the back seat.

  • How long did it take to make your solo after you staryed the course?

  • A couple months and around 20hrs flying instruction.

  • RIGHT RUDDER!!!!!

  • I am looking forward to starting my PPL next January. I know it is still a long time away, but this is the part that scares me. I watch people do their first solo flights all the time, and even watching them I feel anxious

  • ya i cant wait to become a private pilot i live in canada so i can be 14 to do a solo

  • Congratez on your solo! I'm down in Canada, Ontario and here you need to be 14 to solo whitch is 2 years less then the States. I have 6 hours so far At Oshawa airport (CYOO) and at about 12-15 hrs I'll hopefully solo. I'm going to write my PSTAR exam this Saturday. Hope I do well, Prob next month my instructor will send me out to solo. Good luck with other students. :)

  • @Dentfly1 thank you

  • @Blink182009 it looks steep but it isnt, its a normal descent, the camera position makes it look really steep.

  • @helipilot94 8,000-10,000$ seems to be a relatively accurate estimate. Most flight schools will tell you ~6,000$ and 40 hours of flight. But most students complete somewhere between 50 to 65 hours, which means the cost would be higher than what most flight schools advertise. Besides, you'll have the cost of insurance and FAA examinations. BUT, it's worth every penny!!!!
