Is college football star Patrick Witt the hero he was made out to be by the Yale Daily News? New reports allege that Witt turned down his Rhodes Scholarship interview not to lead Yale to victory, but because of a pending sexual assault investigation covered up by the Daily News and hidden from the public until this week.

What do you think? Was the Daily News simply protecting a man who could very well be innocent? Or were they more concerned with the reputation of Yale and Yale football?

And if you liked this video, "Like" it as well! :)

  • What these prestigious colleges forget is once these stories come out and they're revealed to have covered these stories up, the reputation is smeared far worse than if they did tne right thing for their students and for justice. In most instances it could only help

  • with sexual assault, i think it is better to cover it up until a verdict is reached. in this culture, men are vilified just for being accused. even if the guy is found innocent, the damage to his reputation is done as soon as the accusation is made public.

  • ...did he just say "twisty twist"

  • I think even less of yale now

  • The Yale daily news did not cover it up, they refused to report on it.

An anonymous person accuses someone of sexual assault and before any actual investigation is done people are already looking over their shoulders at the accused? The job of a newspaper is not to lampoon people in a closed environment where not much is forgotten.

If a case is built of it, fine, report on that. An accusation? No.

  • why does ana look so good today? :o

  • Its not a cover up, if the police were aware of these accusations then they were investing it. I cannot imagine being falsy accused of rape, yet alone having these accusations in the public and being judged in the court of public opinion.

  • @AsAboveSoBelow01 3 AM is a VERY important time of night.
